National Sales Manager

EnRoot is a global entrepreneurial company that is innovating and bringing to market a new range of lawn, garden and DIY products. 

We are looking for a National Sales Manager to take the lead to manage all global sales and business development efforts primarily focusing on the home, lawn and garden markets.  This candidate must be a leader to meet and exceed organizational fiscal targets.

 

PRIMARY FOCUS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead in the development of sales strategies and identify opportunities for increased sales
  • Develop annual sales plan, report on actual vs plan, and proactively manage as needed.
  • Engage in all sales promotion efforts such as trade shows, cold calling etc.
  • Work with all relevant internal partners in management, finance, operations, fulfilment and service
  • Continuously keep the internal teams updated on progress via the CRM
  • Generate leads and close deals with B2B, B2C, wholesale and retail customers
  • Visit retail outlets and customers and provide feedback for product development
  • Develop and maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territory
  • Adapts and communicates retail service requirements based on changing market conditions to meet account service and sales goals.
  • Innovative and creativity in approaching accounts and expanding business
  • Others sales and marketing related responsibilities as needed

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years of prior national sales experience is a must.
  • Prior background in the lawn and garden industry highly desired.  We will consider experience in closely related industries.
  • Ability to meet quick deadlines and work under pressure.
  • This will initially be an individual contributor role, but we are looking for someone who has led a sales team and has the capacity manage a national sales team.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • A quick learner and someone who adapts very quickly.
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally and on time.
  • Must have professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, retail reps and consumers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Creative presentation/public speaking and premium selling skills

 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred but not required
  • Minimum Associate degree from an accredited college 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to carry product samples, display racks, equipment etc.
  • Willing to travel approximately 50% of the time

Junior Accountant – Accounting & Shipping Management – Hartford County, CT

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to coordinate accounting duties, sales support and shipment management. 


Requirements: 

  • Must be located within commuting distance to Cromwell, CT to be considered for this role
  •  Applicants must have a four-year Accounting degree
  • Must be proficient in PC, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with database such as Microsoft Access a plus
  • Demonstrate written fluency in English
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally and on time
  • Ability to meet quick deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A quick learner and someone who adapts very quickly
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Must have professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, retail reps and consumers

Tasks

  • Expense Management: Amex, other expenditures and provide reports
  • Cash Flow Management: Purchase Orders and Banking activity
  • A/R: scan checks; post customer payments; answer A/R inquiries from customers; send collection reminders
  • A/P: enter, distribute and file supplier invoices; schedule bill payments/checks; book payments once cleared; maintain accrual procedures
  • Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly reconciliation
  • Prepare, file and pay quarterly taxes (sales, excise and payroll tax)
  •  Assist accounting and management team with analysis as needed
  • Sales Operations: Enter sales orders in QuickBooks and other systems
  •  Shipment Management: Track, trace orders and containers and update systems.  Follow up with Customs to clear shipments where needed
  • Assist with order fulfillment and other related tasks when needed
